So in august I have had the amazing opurtunity to have two longhaul flights to Washington for the first time.

My first layover in Washington was a sunny and hot august afternoon -  I went on a walk down to The White House,  I was amazed on how small it looked like in real life. The vibe was really exciting with a mix of political protesters, people on a break from their work drinking coffe in the grass and best of all I saw someone doing a propose for his girlfriend.

On the evening I took a guided walking tour here called "Dark Side Of Dupont & Embassy row". It was the perfect guided walking tour, a mix of historic facts, trivia and funny scandals of Washington Dc's history. Free tours is free, the only thing you pay it the tip, that is the guides salary. Here is a link Free Tours.

I have also taken the Georgetown tour but that one was not as interesting.


On the morning I went and bought cupcapes that I could give to my flight attentat co workers on our flight home to Copenhagen since it would be my birthday.

What better way to explore than by foot?

Yesterday I had lunch at Zuma restaurant in Knightsbridge, so here is a little review.
It's located in Knightsbridge just around the corner from Harrods.
You are greeted buy two lovely girls, one will take your coat away and the other one will find your table for you.
I waitress will tell you the recommendations if you ask for it and then you will get a warm towel to freshen up your hands.
It's an open kitchen which I love since it becomes a nice view, especially if you are having lunch alone like I was.
Drink:
Zuma Bellini - Fresh and sweet drink.
Moscat d'asti - I normally enjoy a moscat d'asti but this one was just not that interesting.
Food:
California rolls - Exciting flavors served with wasabi and soy.
Sea bass - Served with lemon and a spicy tomato mix.
Fruit platter with guava sorbet - Lovely but way to big it felt more like a size for four people.

It was such a nice meal and I truly recommend it.

It's funny one would think that if you have been away for 18 hotel nights a month for six months your packing skills would be a killer by now but they are in fact not. If you are like my I strongly recommend you to search on pinteret for a what to pack list, pinterest have such cute and practical lists for the non motivated packer. I'm so excited for my two upcoming days, I will be spending one day in Wroclaw in Polen and one in Trondheim Norway. I have never been to Polen before so I might be packing my DSLR camera and take som pictures on the streets of Wroclaw. xoxo
